Unlike some sports clubs and fitness organisations, membership to our club gives you a sense of belonging. It gives you ownership too because the club is owned by it’s members and managed by a voluntary committee. Members are people we consider to be part of the family – not a membership number passing through now and then. Clubs like ours are rare, we are not corporately owned or managed and we are not run for profit. All surplus income is re-invested into our facilities for our members enjoyment.
Our friendly bar staff serve several popular beers plus frequently rotated guest real ales - plus tea and coffee. The bar is generally open week nights from 5.45pm and occasionally on Saturdays and Sundays.
We arrange regular sporting and social events throughout the year (competitions, exhibitions, quiz nights, golf days etc), and all members are invited. Some members even raised money for charity by completing a 'Tough Mudder' event!
Regardless of age, standard or gender - this is the Squash and Racketball Club for you. Open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week - these are fun sports you can play regardless of weather. After working hard on court you can relax and socialise in the lounge with a refreshing hot or cold drink or two.
We have 6 Squash/Racketball courts (4 glass backed, 1 with banked seating), high quality shower and changing facilities, equipment shop with restringing facilities, and a bar and lounge area for relaxation. Free WiFi is available to members.

Access to the Club for members is 24 hours a day. We have internal box leagues, club nights, friendlies, fun doubles and regular tournaments and coaching opportunities.
Club nights take place every Wednesday from 6.45pm. Club night is a great way for members to meet and play each other in a social environment. Players rotate opponents (whatever their standard) and each match is restricted to approximately 15 minutes in order to allow you to play more people in as many matches as you wish during the evening.
The club has a number of teams including a ladies team, competing in Hertfordshire and Essex leagues. Our 1st team regularly plays in the top division of the Hertfordshire league and has previously won titles in both Hertfordshire and Essex. Team squash provides great camaraderie – and team match evenings always conclude with a meal and drinks with opponents.
Club tournaments for Squash and Racketball are held throughout the year including the Club Handicap Tournament, Open Championships, Balsham Bowl, Challengers Trophy, Doubles Tournaments and Age Group tournaments. These optional and free to enter competitions provide fun and competitive opportunity for players of all ages, standards and gender.
We are a government recognised Community Amateur Sports Club. The club is managed by Andrew Mulvey, with the support of a voluntary committee who meet regularly to act as a decision making forum on behalf of club members. Our committee are all active playing members, let’s introduce them to you.
